My Current Pets

Note: While having so many pets is fun and very rewarding, it definitely takes a huge commitment and responsibility. Each one of our animals is not only a pet, but a family member, and we make sure we have enough time and resources to devote to the care and enrichment of each and every one. When thinking of adopting your own pets, please make sure you have the proper time and resources (including financing for emergency vet visits) to give them the best life they could possibly have. Thank you!

DOGS: Say hello to Odie the shih tzu and Starla the chiweenie!

Odie has a funny habit of playing fetch with himself by dropping his tennis ball from the top of the stairs (and chasing it all the way down) but he likes spending most of his time cuddling.

Starla is an active dog who likes to go on long walks, dig in the trash (even though she knows it isn’t allowed), and burrow under blankets.

Cats: Sandy loves attention but will only accept it on her own terms. She also spends every single night sleeping on our feet. She’s an indoor cat but does enjoy going outside for walks, though she absolutely hates snow.

The Herps:

Lucy and ET the box turtles

Jinora the red foot tortoise

Milton the Russian tortoise

      MoMo the baby

common snapping turtle

Luna the fire salamander

Invertebrates:

Inverts are fun, easy-to-care for pets! I have quite a few in my family including hermit crabs, tarantulas, roaches, scorpions, a snail, and colonies of roly poly bugs. Below are photos of some of them.
